The project refers to a commercial and residential building, located at R. Augusta 245-251, R. Sta Justa 71-77, Lisbon. The project consists of a housing recovery and revitalization, also promoting the improvement of the conditions of use and health with the introduction of kitchenettes and bathrooms in adequate numbers. The project improves the architectural and historical framework of the classified building complex in downtown Lisbon.
It fully maintains the area, volume, structure, facades, roof and characteristics of the original era. Commercial use is maintained on the ground floor and first floor, and housing is desired on the upper floors, instead of the current offices approved previously. The international recommendations for intervention in built heritage were complied with, with full respect for the patrimonial values of the surrounding urban fabric.
